400,000 voters update registration
Angola, LuandA – At least 400.000 voters have updated their electoral registration around the country in the last two months, said in Luanda the deputy minister of Territory Administration for Electoral and Institutional Affairs, Adão de Almeida. The official was speaking to the press at a ceremony of voter updating by youths from Luanda city under the National Youth Council (CNJ). The deputy minister assured the Government is working to reach 40.000 to 50.000 voter registrations per day. The electoral registration update started in July this year and will go until December 2011 to enable Angolan citizens to vote during the next election expected for 2012.
