Official highlights Government's effort to disarm civilians

Official highlights , Luanda – The State secretary for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, Monday, in Geneva, Switzerland, highlighted Angolan government’s efforts on disarming civil population, since the effective peace the country attained ten years ago, despite of technical and logistic difficulties.

Codex Alimentarius Angola helps Government in designing policies

Luanda, Luanda– The National Committee of Codex Alimentarius Angola is tasked with coordinating all food code activity in the country, by helping the Government with political and technical-scientific decision-making within the framework of the country’s legislation on the issue. This was said by the coordinator of the said committee, Gomes Cardoso, while speaking on "Codex Alimentarius – a contribution to the defence and protection of consumer” taking place since Monday in Luanda.

Family Ministry records domestic violence reduction

Family Ministry , Saurimo- The provincial department of Family and Women Promotion in Saurimo, in eastern Lunda Sul province, recorded from January 05 to September 20 this year, about 279 cases of domestic violence, less one of the previous period. 

Urbanisation Ministry to tighten supervision

Luanda, Luanda– The Angolan Ministry of Urbanisation and Construction will soon tighten its supervision of the quality of the materials used in civil construction and public works to guarantee works longevity. This information was released Monday, in Luanda, by the national director for construction materials, Manuel Fernando Correia Victor.

Luanda, Luanda- The Republic of Angola has experienced in recent years, periods of  strong economic growth, with high demand, despite some deficits concerned the competition, said, Monday in Luanda, the minister of Trade, Idalina Valente. The Cabinet minister was speaking at the opening of a seminar on "Consumer rights" promoted by the Commission of Economy and Finance of the National Assembly, in partnership with the Institute for Consumer Protection (INADEC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce.

Angola in "Angola Avante" tournament final

Lisbon , Lisbon – The Angolan Portugal-based community team of football qualified for the final of the “Angola Avante” Inter-community Tournament, after beating São Tomé e Príncipe 1-0 on Sunday, in a second round match of the competition’s Group A taking place in Lisbon. In Group B, Guinea-Bissau beat Brazil 2-1. The third and last round of the competition will be played on Tuesday with the following fixture: 

Minister opens national disease awareness campaign

Ndalatando, Ndalatando– The Angolan Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, Monday in Ndalatando, northern Kwanza Norte province,  launched the National Campaign on Non-Transmitted Chronic Disease Awareness (DCNT), as part of a Government programme to improve the knowledge about their prevention and control. 

Trade minister defends accountability of suppliers

Luanda, Luanda– The minister of Trade, Idalina Valente, Monday, in Luanda, defended a greater State intervention in the responsible conduct of product suppliers, as well as individual rights of consumers in order to promote equity and social justice. Idalina Valente was speaking at the opening of a seminar on "The Consumer Rights", sponsored by the Economy and Finance Commission of the National Assembly in partnership with the Institute for Consumer Protection (INADEC).
