Migration Service institutional portal launched

Luanda, Luanda - The Angolan Migration and Foreigner Service (SME) launched Thursday in Luanda its institutional portal at a ceremony presided over by its national director, João de Freitas Neto. The portal will help lessen the rising bureaucracy in the services and promote an interactivity and proximity with the public. It is seen as an important tool for the modernisation of the institution and a path to a level of excellence in serving the public.

Migration Services, citizens relations deepened

Luanda, Luanda - The relationship between Migration and Foreigners Services (SME) and its user gets closer with the emergence of the institutional portal, as it is available all services such as online and paper application forms, and detailed information about each legal framework. The statement belonged to the national director of the SME, João de Freitas Neto, who chaired the launching ceremony of the institutional portal of the Migration and Foreigners Services, held Thursday, in Luanda.

Police vow strict measure against car insurance evasion

Luanda, Luanda – The spokesperson for the National Department of Road Traffic, inspector Angelino Sarrote, warned car owners that the police will be strict about the compulsory insurance coming into force as from Saturday, October 1.  Speaking to Angop, the officer recommended car owners to purchase their insurance in order to avoid trouble. According to the spokesperson, the fines will be heavy, estimated at over 25,000 (about Usd 250).  

Ambassador to Italy presents credentials

Angola, Luanda – The Angolan extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador to Italy, Florêncio da Conceição de Almeida, delivered his figured letters Thursday in Rome, to the Diplomatic Ceremonial chief of Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry, Stefano Ronca.The ambassador Stefano Ronca said he is willing to help the “new” diplomat, and transmitted well-come greetings from the head of Italian diplomacy, Franco Frattini.

Repatriation of Angolan refugees from Zambia suspended

Angola, Luena – The repatriation of Angolan refugees from the neighbouring Republic of Zambia is suspended since August this year for technical reasons, Angop learned Thursday in Luena, eastern Moxico province.The information was released by Moxico provincial director of the Social Welfare Minisytry, Ana Filomena Chipoia. The official said on the occasion her department is awaiting a notification from Zambia for the restart of the operation.A total of 691 Angolan refugees returned home from Zambia in July this year.

Attorney general updates electoral registration

Luanda, Luanda – The Angolan attorney general, João Maria de Sousa, Thursday, here, went to update his electoral registration, thus fulfilling his civic duty as a national citizen. On the occasion, João Maria de Sousa, who led the workers from his sector, said that after updating his electoral card feels as ready to participate in the next electoral act.

Higher pedagogical school promotes book fair

Caxito,  Caxito – The Higher Pedagogical School (ESP) of Bengo is promoting, from this Thursday until Friday, in Caxito, the third edition of the book exhibition, under the motto “read to learn’’. For this edition were invited the editors Nzila, Irmãs Paulinas, Mayamba, the bookshops Universitária and Texto editores, as well as the writer Moichele Katonhe. The exhibition will be held in Bengo Hotel, Caxito city, for three days.

Huila needs specialized doctors - vice minister

Lubango, Lubango – Angolan deputy minister of Health, Evelize Fresta, Wednesday, in Lubango city, said that the hospitals of south Huíla province are in need of specialized doctors for an efficient assistance. According to the official, the Central Hospital "António Agostinho Neto" and the Maternity "Irene Neto" need experts.
