Ango Despa launches software for customs services

Angola, Luanda – The Ango Despa company launched last Thursday, in Luanda, a software for the management of customs services, aimed for Angolan customs and shipping companies.According to the manager of the software, Ana Bela Correia, while making a presentation of the package, the software was created for 122 clients of the country’s capital city and will also be presented in the provinces of Cabinda, Zaire, Benguela, Huíla, Namibe and Cunene.

Moxico to hold provincial conference on sports in October

Angola, Luena– A conference to discuss sports issues will take place on 14-15 October in the eastern Moxico province.This was said to Angop by the head of local youth and sports department, Zeferino Menezes.According to him, the event will be the first one of this king in the region and aims to discuss issues related to past and present sports, as well as define intervention priorities and development goals.

FAA to co-operate with SADC armies to combat HIV/AIDS

Luanda, Luanda – The Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) are available to co-operate with the armies of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) to join efforts and control efficiently HIV/AIDS. This was said to Angop on Thursday by the FAA’s deputy chief of Staff for patriotic education, general Egidio de Sousa e Santos, at the end of the second workshop on SADC Technical Military Sub Committee for HIV/AIDS, which took place on 27-29 September in Luanda. 

OMA centre records 358 cases of domestic violence in Samba district

Angola, Luanda – At least 358 cases of domestic violence were recorded by OMA counselling centre in Samba district in Luanda from January to August 2011.The was said to Angop by OMA municipal secretary, Marcela Bessa, during a lecture on domestic violence, aimed for women of that locality.According to her, the paternity denial and lack of food supply were considered as main offences recorded in that centre.

UNDP and Norway Support Gender Equality, Women Promotion

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Norwegian government will support gender equality and women promotion in Angola through the financial agreement signed on Wednesday, in Luanda.
