Opening of voter registration, start of national feast - Official

Angola,  Huambo – The deputy miniser of Territory Admnistration for Institutional and Electoral Affairs, Adão de Almeida, said Friday in Huambo (centre) that the official opening of the voter registration updating process in the country is a national feast that started in the region. The official was addressing the launch of the national process of voter registration update.  

OMA socialises with elderly people of Beiral Centre

Angola, Luanda – Fashion parade, music and dance marked on Saturday the socialisation meeting with elderly people of the Third Age Shelter Home of Beiral.  The activity was promoted by the national executive secretariat of the ruling party’s women wing (OMA), in the ambit of the celebrations of African Women’s Day, being marked on Sunday 31 July.  

Presidential decree sets up import and export rules of ozone substances

Angola,  Luanda - A regulation that establishes the rules of producing, exporting, re-exporting and importing of substances that endanger the ozone layer has already got into effect since 15 June in the country, under the presidential decree nº 153/11.   According to a press note from the Ministry of Environment, which reached ANGOP on Saturday, the decree forbids entrance into the country of substances whose elimination timings are set for 1996, 2002 and 2010.

Benfica do Huambo thrash 17 de Maio

Angola, Huambo - Benfica do Huambo thrashed on Saturday 17 de Maio by 6-0 at Kurikutelas stadium, in the group B’s third round of the second division football championship.  In the first half, Benfica do Huambo were already winning the match by 5-0.  The goals were scored by Fita, Filipe (twice), Mateus (twice) and Mimi.  

Ritondo beat Domant Sport club of Bengo

Angola, Malanje - Ritondo de Malanje beat on Saturday Domant Sport club of Bengo by 1-0 at 1º de Maio stadium, in the group A’s third round of the second division football championship (Segundona).  The sole goal was scored by the central defender Simão at 89 minutes.  

Kabuscorp do Palanca face FC Cabinda Sunday

Angola,  Luanda – Kabuscorp do Palanca are palying on Sunday FC Cabinda at Luanda’s Coqueiros stadium, in the 19th round of the national first division football championship (Girabola2011). Kabuscorp do Palanca lead the competition with 33 points, while FC Cabinda are at the 13th place with 22 points.

Académica do Soyo draw with 1º de Maio

Angola,  Luanda - Académica do Soyo drew nil-nil with 1º de Maio de Benguela in Embondeiro stadium, in 19th round of the national first division football championship (Girabola2011).  With this result, Académica do Soyo occupy the fifth position with 26 points, while 1º de Maio are at the eighth place with 24 points.

Interclube play Asec Mimosas of Abidjan Sunday

Angola, Luanda – Interclube will play on Sunday Asec Mimosas of Cote Ivoire in Luanda’s 22 de Junho, in the second round of the cup of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).  Should Interclube win the match they will lead group A of the referred competition.  In the first round, Interclube drew one-one away with Kaduna United of Nigeria.  

Sagrada Esperança beat progresso do Sambizanga

Angola,  Luanda – Sagrada Esperança defeated on Saturday Progresso do Sambizanga by 1-0 in Quintalão do Dundo stadium, in the 19th round of the national first division football championship (Girabola2011).  With this result, Sagrada Esperança occupy the ninth position with 24 points, while Progresso do Sambizanga at 10th place with 24 points.
