Vice-president plants tree named Angola

Angola, Malabo – The Vice-president of the Republic, Fernando Dias dos Santos, planted on Thursday in the green area of Sipopo Coference Palace in Malabo new town, a tree with plate written Angola and name of the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos. The tree is part of a set of other 53 ones that symbolise the member states of the African Union (AU). Other heads of state and governments also planted simultaneously this kind of tree that has a historic value for the Equatorial Guinean people. 

Oil Minister calls on DRC for speed in negotiations

Soyo, Soyo – The Minister of Petroleum, Botelho de Vasconcelos, called on Thursday to the government of the DR Congo (DRC) for speedy in the negotiation process on the border oil exploration underway. Speaking to the press on Wednesday in Soyo district, Botelho de Vasconcelos said that the process is going very slow. The official informed that during the works, a commission has been establishing a programme of action to discuss the issues. 

Huíla governor checks implementation of projects in Caluquembe

Lubango, Lubango – The governor of the southern Huíla province, Isaac dos Anjos, will on Friday pay visit to Caluquembe district, aimed at checking the implementation of the Municipal Integrated Programme for Rural Development and Poverty Eradication. According to his programme, which reached Angop on Thursday, the governor will be informed during two days about implementation of the projects and then travel to Calepi commune for the same purpose.
